SAVING WATER AT CAMP ARNAZ
Over the coming months, we will be embarking upon some new efforts to save water at Camp Arnaz. This includes repairing plumbing fixtures around the camp to help conserve water, tapping into sulfur-laden well water to water the back lawn instead of using drinkable water, and installing a new native plant garden in front of the lodge to replace the turf. Watch for a new Forever Green online patch program later this summer, with a special focus on water and water conservation. You can get started now with conservation with the current Forever Green Program.
NEW ARNAZ SAFETY COMMITTEE - PARTICIPANTS NEEDEDA new safety committee is being formed with the purpose of reviewing incident reports, safety equipment and procedures, and other safety-related issues at Camp Arnaz. The committee will meet twice a year, and the first meeting is scheduled for May 20. Interested? Contact Melissa: mbaffa@girlscoutsccc.org
NEW ARNAZ RENTAL POLICIES - went into effect January 1, 2015
Read details here: Arnaz Program Center Rental Policies Handbook
The information in this booklet is part of the rental contract. All rental guests are responsible for following the policies and procedures as outlined in this booklet. Policies and procedures subject to change without notice.
Additionally, you can now make an inquiry for renting Arnaz online. Complete the online Accommodation Reservation Inquiry Form and camp staff will help you make your reservation! Super easy!
ARNAZ RENOVATIONS - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Some heavy-duty projects at Arnaz are near completion: Volleyball court sand grading, and stringing perimeter fencing. If you know of someone in construction who would be willing to help out, please contact Allan Goff, GSCCC Director of Properties: agoff@girlscoutsccc.org
Renovations to the main lodge at the Arnaz Program Center are nearly complete. Other improvements throughout the camp are planned, but there is not a specific timeline identified for those yet. You can follow the progress by Liking the Arnaz Program Center page on Facebook. Questions? Contact: camparnaz@girlscoutsccc.org
