GSCCC LEADS THE WAY NATIONALLY!  The number of girls who are experiencing Girl Scouts along the Central Coast increased by 5.4 percent giving our council the ninth highest percentage of membership growth THANKS TO OUR VOLUNTEERS! That's #9 out of 109 councils. Awesome!  Because of YOU, 10,124 Girl Scouts are leading with courage, confidence, and character, to make the world a better place.

LEADERAMA is the place to be for NEW and returning GS Leaders! Adults learn tools to make the Girl Scout year more girl-led, enjoyable, and successful along with new ways to incorporate the National Program Portfolio into troop meetings and activities. These training days are designed with YOU in mind and include fun activities, enrichment courses and networking with fellow leaders. Make sure to register for an upcoming Leaderama at

  • Nov 10 - Santa Maria (registration extended to Monday 11/5)
  • Nov 10 - Ventura (registration extended to Monday 11/5)
  • Nov 17 - Salinas (registration extended to Monday 11/12)
WHAT DO VOLUNTEERS WANT? A QUICK START How do troop volunteers know what makes for a great troop experience for Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors? How do they know what resources to use to make that happen?

Volunteers in service to Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors can go directly to the online Quick Start on GSUSA's For Girls website. Once there, they can see The Ten Essential Elements for Troops, plus get specific resources--including excerpts from the Adult Guides to Leadership Journeys to execute each of the ten Elements.  Quick Start is a giant step toward making quality troop experiences happen in the shorter time bursts that today's busy families and volunteers need!
