Otis Goodrich, beloved Sexton of St. John's Church for some forty years, died at home this morning.  He was 87 years of age.

 

Otis was born June 14, 1928 and began his ministry to St. John's around 1960 during the tenure of Fr. Roderick Jackson (1940-1967).  He continued faithful service to this parish during the rectorships of David LaMotte (1967-1981), Joseph Kerr (1982-1985), Brian Hobden (1988-1997), and for two years under Ron Greiser (1999-2009).  With the consent of the vestry in 2012, Fr. Derek was pleased to name Mr. Goodrich as Sexton emeritus.
