 Help with KIDZ KAMP Outreach

Operation Christmas Child

In addition to our Air Conditioned Cookout for the Homeless on July 25, this year's KIDZ KAMP Christmas in July outreach project is Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan's Purse.  Started in 1993 by Franklin Graham, this ministry has sent more that 100 million shoeboxes to children in 130 countries.  With your help, our "KIDZ" will be packing gifts that will be sent around the world to help proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and provide Christmas gifts to children in need.

One of our activity stations this year will be Operation Christmas Child.  Each evening every child will have the opportunity to decorate a shoebox, design a card with a personal message, organize gift items and pack shoeboxes.

Boxes are organized for boys and girls ages 2-4, 5-9, and 10-14.  We need shoeboxes, Christmas wrapping paper, small toys, stuffed animals, school supplies, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, washcloths, combs, brushes, small etch-a-sketches, small flashlights with extra batteries, note cards, stickers, hair clips and barrettes, gum, hard candies, etc.

No chocolate, liquids, toy guns or anything war related, such as plastic toy soldiers are allowed.  A complete list will be placed in the Parish Hall and can be found here on the Operation Christmas Child website.  Each box must also contain $7.00 for shipping.

Baskets will be in the Parish Hall to receive your donations for the next two Sundays.
