Construction materials:
black plastic and bottle caps

"Pastor, can you give me some plastic to hold my house together?"

Miriam, who lives in Nicaragua, asked that question with a desperation in her eyes.

We've seen that look many times from others like her.  She wasn't asking much. A few dollars worth of black plasticand some nails and bottle caps to help fasten it to stick poles, would shelter from the rain.

Imagine your home being held together by plastic and bottle caps.  With all the presents under our Christmas trees, how many people did we know searching for bottle caps to hold their plastic in place.

In Nicaragua, heavy torrential rains come off the ocean and frequently flood many of the homes. During the rainy season, fires can't be stoked to help the drying out process. So, the need is great for heavy black plastic and bottle caps.

On a recent trip to Nicaragua, our team knew was planning to build chicken coops and pour a foundation for a church.  They were aware of the scheduled medical outreach and the distribution of glasses to children. What they had not planned for was the great need for black plastic and bottle caps.

We are returning soon and we will be taking some unusual supplies, lots of black plastic and bottle caps.

Please consider joining us on a mission trip this year. We'll share the love of Christ and help improve the lives of people we meet.

Thank you for your interest and support!
