GO supporters repair
termite-infested roof

GO InterNational's Jim Whittle works with people at a leprocomio in the city of Nigua, which is the only live-in care facility for patients effected by Hansen's Disease in the Dominican Republic.  The facility currently is home to 17 patients.

With the help of our prayer partners and financial supporters, we have been able to build relationships and to introduce others to the people and their needs.  Before Thanksgiving, the hope was to raise $1,000 to replace a termite- and weather-damaged roof over the pavilion at the leprocomio. This is where many sit in the shade to escape the oppressive heat.  There is no air conditioning.

Thanks to your prayers and support, these funds were raised - with possibly enough for a ceiling fan  to give the patients a little more relief.  The next project will be to add cushions for the concrete seats to provide additional comfort for patients and visitors.
