"Ron is uniquely qualified to lead GO InterNational," said Dr. Cathy Bishop, Chair of the Board. "His deep understanding of the GO ministry, mission and family, combined with his history of working closely with Bert Jones and their leadership success over the last 8 years will contribute greatly to the continued expansion of GO InterNational. We are so thankful for Bert's leadership and are excited that he will continue to advise and represent the ministry." 
 

Bert explains, "I am thankful for these years that Ron and I have worked closely together. Our long-time friendship and ministry partnership will make this a seamless transition. He assisted me greatly in my years as President & CEO and I plan to assist him in his new role at GO."
 

He goes on to say, "I am excited about the partnership between Woodburn Church and GO InterNational that will result from this move. I have complete confidence in Ron and I know that he understands the strategic vision and goals of the ministry. As Past President, I plan to continue to open doors for GO and work closely with the ministry as it helps local churches everywhere fulfill the Great Commission."
 

When Jones was asked about his departure, he explained, "I sensed a clear call from the Lord to take this next step and I believe it will actually advance the ministry of GO and our goal of getting churches and individuals onto the mission field." 
 

Ron is an 8-year GO veteran whose accomplishments include leading the development and fundraising efforts and overseeing the financial management of the ministry. In addition to providing leadership and vision to the ministry, Ron has traveled across the United States and around the world challenging people to consider mission opportunities, leading mission teams and speaking on missions and stewardship.
