On the GO at SOAcres in Lexington, Kentucky
 

GO InterNational loves to partner with the local church. We believe the local church is God's plan to reach the world with His love. We want to come alongside the church to aid it the church in fulfilling the Great Commission. So whether it is taking church members on a mission trip thousands of miles from home or teaching local church pastors  and leaders how to better lead and feed their churches, GO loves to serve the church.

            

A recent partnership we are excited about is with Southern Acres Christian Church in Lexington, Kentucky. When GO staffer Todd Johns started attending SoAcres he was impressed with the energy and excitement the church had for missions. But he quickly realized they needed someone to help them channel that energy. Through his friendship with the Lead Pastor, Cameron McDonald, Todd offered for GO to help expand the church's mission outreach.

           

Todd explains. "The church was not accomplishing all that they hoped for in missions, so they are trusting this will revitalize and reintroduce missions to the whole church. SoAcres will be promoting GO teams and sending people on those teams. We also hope to see some team leaders come from the church. GO will provide training and topics on missions for the church."

           

GO President Bert Jones recently spoke to the Sunday morning services on "The Four Blessings of Going" from Genesis 12:1-5. Bert explained from the text that God blesses those who go, He blesses where we go, He blesses those who help others go and he blesses beyond where we go.
