We love working with university students and helping them develop skills and and pursue their passion to to fulfill the Great Commission. We developed our GO Institute for InterNational Leadership with these students in mind.

 

Rhea Starns, is a prime example of this. Rhea's twin sister, Cara was the GO intern put in charge of designing  our annual report, a promotional piece that gives a detailed annual account of our ministry. When she got the assignment she asked her sister Rhea to help. 

 

            Rhea is a graphic design student at University of Kentucky and jumped at the chance. And she did an incredible job with the design.  "I wanted to showcase the many, many good photos that they gave me to work with. I also wanted to organize the content so I gave each section a two page spread with a GO title and unique shape or color. I worked with a specific color palette too. I wanted to simplify the content display and showcase the photography," Rhea said.

 

Her instincts paid off big.  Rhea is a senior at UK and is the president of the ad club.   She works closely with American Advertising Federation(AAF) and sent the GO piece to the regional American Advertising Awards.  In this competition, Rhea received a bronze award and two gold awards. The GO Annual report was one of the gold awards.  " The GO piece was forwarded  to our district competition," Rhea said.

 

Needless to say, the staff at GO are incredibly proud of Rhea and our annual report.

 

"Rhea did an outstanding job on this years edition.  We think the design is the best that we've ever had.  We were amazed at her talent and professionalism as a college student.  She is tremendously talented and has a genuine gift from God in the area of graphic design," CEO, Bert Jones said. 

 

And Cara did an incredible job of managing the project too! It could not have happened without her. We extend our sincere thanks to both of these lovely young women and know the Lord has great plans for both of them!
