The Least of These

"EVEN AS YOU HAVE DONE IT UNTO ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE......."

Jorge Ramos was one of the "least of these"  born to alcoholic parents and raised in a home filled with physical and sexual abuse of his four brothers and one sister in Comas, Peru.

At the age of six he ran away from home only to be rescued by Wilma Grandez.  Wilma has been rescuing children in Lima, Peru for most of her adult life.  Thousands of children like Jorge are faced with lives filled with hopelessness.  Many children turn to drugs and gang violence as ways of combatting their pain and loneliness.

Wilma dreamed of a school where children could be loved and helped to gain a Christian education.  Over the past seven years GO InterNational helped Wilma build a three story building on a rocky hillside in a very poor part of Comas. Slowly her dream of a place of oasis and recovery began to take shape out of the side of a mountain of rock.

Two years ago 55 children began attending school five days a week for five hours.  A hot meal was served and children truly began to flourish under Wilma's leadership.  This past December Wilma graduated 136 of "the least of these" children.  The love of God is evident everywhere when you visit this place.  The transformation of these children is very evident as they sing,  practiced their skits and memorize a complete Psalm.

We are thankful God gave GO InterNational the opportunity to partner with Wilma to see her dream come true.  Children like

Jorge and many others have also seen their parents find help and rehabilitation because of the power of the Gospel.

We are planning a trip to serve Wilma and her children in June 2014. If you have teaching gifts or simply love to work with children, why not join us?

Thanks to so many of you for making Wilma's dream become a reality.

For more information about the trip, respond to this email and I will send you all the information. Please consider joining the team in June! God bless you!
