Greetings Chamber Members,

Change is in the air at your Camden County Chamber of Commerce office!  As you may already be aware, in June the Chamber offices relocated to the Kingsland North Center at 531 North Lee Street.  Due to the generosity of the Kingsland City Council, this new location is now your one-stop-shop for all things economic development.  In addition to the Chamber offices, you will find the Camden County JDA, The Camden Partnership and the Kingsland Economic Development offices.  Stop by & check out the new location!

In July, Chamber President Leslie Hamrick resigned and, in effort to effectively utilize all available resources, your Chamber Board of Directors chose to contract with the Kingsland CVB for interim executive services.  Tonya Rosado will be continuing her roll as the Kingsland CVB Executive Director, as well as the Interim Chamber President/CEO.  Through contractual services, Tonya will divide her time between the two organizations until a new Chamber President/CEO is hired.

For matters involving the Kingsland CVB, Tonya can be reached at Tonya@VisitKingsland.com and Ph: (912) 729.5999.  For items involving the Camden County Chamber of Commerce, Tonya can be reached at President@CamdenChamber.com and Ph: (912) 729-5840.  <See more information here>

Our upcoming Chamber Quarterly Meeting is going to be a Do-Not-Miss experience!  We have moved the quarterly meeting to breakfast (7:30am-9:00am) to better utilize your day and we will have a top-notch panel discussing Camden's economic growth.  Panelists will provide updates on the Spaceport Camden project and the collaborative economic development efforts.  Space is limited, so reserve your seat ASAP! For more information and to register, <click here>

With the change in leadership of the Chamber, came more program changes! The Leadership Camden Class was postponed until Nov 2014 to allow for strengthening and restructuring of the program. This year's class is going to be exceptional!  We have 3 seats available for this class, so contact me right away if you want to be a part of this wonderful experience!  For more information & to see who is participating in this year's class, <click here>

The Taste of Camden is going to be fabulous this year!! Mark your calendars for November 13th and stay tuned for more information.  With fun new ideas, a great event theme and new ways for your business to interact directly to customers, we are all truly excited about this year's event.  Sponsorship packets and registration forms are in their final edits and this year the booth locations & sponsorship opportunities are going to be on a first-come, first-served basis so make sure that you contact Shana today if you want to be the first to receive the information.

To continue to develop a climate for your business to grow and expand, we will be launching a new series of training and certification programs that are relevant to your businesses.  The first part of this series will take place this Friday with our Intro to QuickBooks Workshop and we still have seats available for our second part of the QuickBooks series: Advanced QuickBooks Workshop.  If you have any suggestions or ideas for training needs, please feel free to contact me.

I am excited about the direction that the Chamber is moving and look forward to being a part of growing your business!
