Parish Life Meeting to be held this Saturday, August 9 at 9:00 AM
Members of each committee from the church will gather to help build the 2014-2015 program calendar and share knowledge about what other committees are doing at St James. With the mission of "Seeking and Sharing God's Eternal Love with Ancient Worship & Open Minds," we believe that we all are helping to meet this mission and would like to make sure that everyone has an idea of what other committees are doing to strive for meeting the mission. This meeting will allow us to cross pollinate the ways that each team is serving the mission of the parish, look for opportunities for collaboration, share the hopes and dreams of each ministry team.Any questions or concerns, please contact Tom Gossen: [email protected]; or Anne Clark: [email protected] or call 816-797-6177.

St. James Outreach Sponsors Water Drive for ESS
The Outreach Committee needs your help: Our "Water Ministry" for ESS is in full swing, once again. Since many of the clients served by ESS have to walk, take the bus, or ride bikes on these hot summer days, a cold bottle of water makes a big difference. For three years, St. James has taken on this very easy, but greatly appreciated summer ministry. Please bring packs of water bottles--large or small--to the church; they will be delivered to ESS every week.
