Operation Care Provides the Tools to Succeed
Domestic violence and abuse can be devastating to a family. Operation Care provides the tools and safe environment to help individuals get out of a violent relationship and on the road to a healthy and successful life.
A couple months ago, a woman called Operation Care because she needed shelter to escape her violent boyfriend. She was pregnant and was working on gaining back custody of her children. She was able to stay at our safe house, and attended one-on-one peer counseling, our Domestic Violence Group, and our Rural Economic Empowerment Financial Class. Since entering our program, this young woman has become employed. She now has visitation every weekend with her children and continues to live a healthy, violence-free lifestyle.
Sometimes, the stress of the holidays makes relationships even harder. Operation Care has a 24-hour crisis line (209-223-2600) and all calls are strictly confidential. Peer counselors are always available to help with safe shelter, a safety plan, a temporary restraining order, or just to listen.
If you or someone you know needs help, we're only a call away.
