Summer is heating up for girls and they're learning leadership skills in the great outdoors - BECAUSE OF YOU! Whether it's camping at one of our awesome council properties, traveling to Savannah, GA to learn about this history of Girl Scouts, or listening to Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Malala Yousafzai, girls are being changed by Girl Scouts. Thank you for being part of the organization that provides unique opportunities and creates women of courage, confidence and character.
Outdoor Program - Master Plan
A comprehensive vision for council properties

During the summer our camps are full of girls having amazing experiences. That's why it's a great time to begin the next stages of planning for our outdoor program and properties!

We are thrilled to announce that Tom Neppl and Carl Rogers of Neppl Landscape Architecture and Planning, LLC are helping us develop our long-term plan for outdoor programming and camp properties. The master plan, guided by you (our volunteers, girls, donors, and staff all providing feedback) will be an illustrative long-range vision for the development of our camp property. Because of donors like you, our camps are getting the updates necessary to enrich the lives of girls. THANK YOU for being part of this journey. If you or your organization is interested in making a financial gift to support outdoor programs or camp updates, please contact [email protected]

Let's Chat: Malala Yousafzai

"I raise up my voice not so I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard. We cannot succeed when half of us are held back." - Malala Yousafzai

You can change the world with just a chat. That's the idea behind The Chat Series and we are thrilled to be a partner this year after the incredible experiences girl had with The Chat Series 1.0! The first speaker in this year's lineup was Malala Yousafzai, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and education advocate. This inspiring woman and her father came to Kansas City to talk about the importance of education for women and the world impact girls can have. On July 19th, more than 30 Girl Scouts, volunteers and staff learned about the power of #YesAllGirls. Donors like you make these incredible experiences possible for girls! Read more and see photos of this once in a lifetime experience for girls!

Back to School - Join Daisy's Circle!
Now is a great time to help girls for the new GS year!

Did you know that for just $10/month you can provide 8 girls in need an entire year of Girl Scout membership? Daisy's Circle is the monthly giving program for GSKSMO that provides critical funding that directly impacts girls in our community. As school is starting back and troops are ready to begin a new Girl Scout year, this is a GREAT time to join Daisy's Circle! Your support will change the life of a girl.

"Back to Troop" Supplies
Help a Girl Scout troop in need start off right!

Some new troops find it financially challenging to get the supplies they need. If you're out shopping for school supplies and want to help kids in our region, we are seeking donations of the following items for new troops with financial challenges. These supplies will be packaged and given directly to troops in need. Every item we receive makes a difference for these girls.
