Celebrate Girl Scout Week

Happy Almost Spring! We are sure your Girl Scout is well on her way to meeting her Cookie goals! It's been quite a season, and we are excited for the last two weeks and then for our Girl Scouts to celebrate their success with troop and girl rewards. Thank you for supporting your Girl Scout through the Cookie Program!!

Speaking of the largest girl-led business in the world...Did you see the Oscars last night? What a moment for Girl Scouts and our taste bud -tempting treats. This certainly got our phones a ringing, so know there are plenty of customers out there still looking for their annual treat!

As we transition from the Cookie Program, it's time to celebrate another special time for Girl Scouts - Girl Scout Week (March 6-12). This week kicks off with GS Sunday and then concludes with Girl Scouts 104th birthday on March 12. To celebrate, we invite Girl Scout troops, families and friends to join us for Inspire a Girl Week of Service. You can select your own project or choose one we have set up. It's easy, you feel good and there is a great patch for all participating Girl Scouts!

For Girl Scout Week, we also have some fun, easy promotions like submitting your GS family photos to be entered for a special gift basket or sharing your summer camp story for a chance to win a free resident or mini camp session. We will be busy promoting each day through our Facebook page, and we want you to join us in the fun!

It's a busy and fantastic Spring ahead! Let us know how things are going and how can answer questions and support you! We hope to see you at one of our Inspire a Girl service projects on March 12 or at our Expo & Honors Ceremony on April 2!

Around the World with Girl Scouts!

Girl Scouts from all over the council region got to travel around the world this past week for World Thinking Day! From Italy to Egypt to England to China and beyond, girls created booths, shared cultural food, customs and swaps to educate one another about different countries. Check out the blog post about this awesome event! You also won't want to miss these great photos and even a video that shows just how creative Girl Scouts can be! Tell us about your Girl Scout's World Thinking Day Booth!

Be a Changemaker with your Girl Scout

Did you know that parents, relatives and family friends can be changemakers just like the Girl Scout in their lives? You can give in a variety of ways, including volunteering, being an advocate and by making a tax-deductible gift! A donation to Girl Scouts of NE Kansas and NW Missouri is a great way to give back directly to our community and honor that special woman in your life. If you or someone you know would like to join their Girl Scout in the spirit of service, please visit our Invest in Girls webpage.

You can also get the discussion going on ways to give by contacting Vanessa Van Goethem-Piela, Director of Fund Development at [email protected] or 816.759.3072.
Community Partners:
NWMSU Sigma Gamma Epsilon &
K-State Baseball

On March 5, your little scientist can participate in a variety of great projects at Northwest Missouri State University! Sessions are age specific and Brownies & Daisies can do a home scientist session or Brownies can select an astronomy or bird watching sessions.

Go Wildcats! If your Girl Scout love sports and is in the West Region, you can't miss K-State baseball taking on Milwaukee on Girl Scout Day, March 12! Special ticket prices available just for Girl Scout families. Grab your baseball cap and enjoy a game at K-State!

We have 100+ Community Partners serving Girl Scouts all over our region, many of which can be done by girls individually or with their family! We encourage you do these fun activities together!
