Is Your Girl Scout Reaching for Her Cookie Goals?

Did you know that the majority of female entrepreneurs credit their start to the Girl Scout Cookie Program? It's true! And with the largest girl-led business in the world, we know your young entrepreneur is building important business skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics!

How is your Junior Girl Scout doing toward her individual and troop goals? Is she working toward the award at 300 boxes, two tickets to Girl Scout Day at the K or going even higher? Is her troop working toward a goal for a fun group activity and/or money toward a service project? See all the awards for this year's program.

There is still plenty of time, especially as we begin the booth sales season in February! Girl Scout Cookie customers are always looking for another box or two. With your support, your Girl Scout can certainly achieve the goal she has set! We have so many Cookie Program resources you can access through our website (like booth sale signage, Pinterest ideas for decorating a booth or delivery wagon and ways to keep reaching for goals).

We want to hear how your Girl Scout is doing! As she gets ready for Cookie Booths or delivers her cookies to customers, we would love to see photos and hear all the creative ideas she is doing to reach her goals! How can we can enhance the experience? Your feedback is so valued - let us know!

Share Inspiring Stories with GSKSMO

Junior Girl Scouts are driven, inspiring young women and we love to share their stories. Check out a recent blog story about the Outreach Troops at Operation Breakthrough!  This spring the Juniors are working on breaking career & gender stereotypes and you'll want to check out a video in the blog of a skit they did for the Daisy Girl Scouts! And have you heard about our new "Man Enough to be a Girl Scout" campaign and video series? 14 regional leaders from around the council have declared they're "Man Enough to be a Girl Scout" and pledged their dedication to breaking down these stereotypes and getting girls in leadership! Check out photos from the launch party.

What stories does your troop have to share? Connect with us on FacebookInstagramTwitter and on our BLOG!
Inspire A Girl
Celebrate the Girl Scout Highest Awards

If your Junior is working on her Bronze Award or wants to meet other recipients, you don't want to miss these events! This year we are launching our Inspire A Girl event to celebrate Girl Scout Highest Awards (Bronze, Silver & Gold). The Day of Service takes place March 12 and is a collective day of service around our council. Your troop or individual Girl Scout can also schedule your own project and earn the special patch too!  The Inspire A Girl Honors Ceremony takes place on April 2 at the Overland Park Convention Center and features an interactive expo along with the ceremony to celebrate our 2016 Gold Award recipients.
Community Partner:
Goodwill

Girl Scouts love giving back to the community! That's why GSKSMO has teamed up with Community Partner, Goodwill, to connect Girl Scouts with those in need! If your Junior wants to declutter the house, recycle and give to the community, check out the Good Turn for Goodwill Project going on now through Earth Day (April 2016). This is a great opportunity for troops to organize donation drives for spring!

We have 100+ Community Partners serving Girl Scouts all over our region, many of which can be done by girls individually or with their family! We encourage you do these fun activities together!
Did You Know?

95% of Girl Scouts who participated in the Girl Scout Cookie Program can't wait to do it again next year! With 96% reporting that selling cookies was SO MUCH FUN, it's no wonder why girls want to keep developing business skills.
