Happy Founder's Day!

October is such a special month for the entire Girl Scout organization. October 31 celebrates the birthday of Girl Scouts' founder, Juliette Gordon Low.

Your Daisy or Brownie Girl Scout may be celebrating this special day in her troop with a birthday party and/or service project. Troops have made special birthday cakes or cupcakes, collected birthday kit items for a local organization, played games, created artwork and so much more. It truly is a special day to celebrate our history! Ask your Girl Scout about Juliette and how she and her troop celebrated Founder's Day. Share your stories with us.

Oh and how about a head start? Check out this great video series about Juliette. Find out how she got her nickname "Daisy" and what she sacrificed to ensure an organization like Girl Scouts would be available for all girls. And with just a few days left until Halloween, you might still be looking for a costume idea. Well, how about Juliette Gordon Low? Learn how to create this costume just in time.

It's an honor that you and your Girl Scout have chosen our organization! We want to be the place where you can strengthen your bond with your girl, and she can try new things and build friendships. We may be 103 years old, but the foundation that Juliette Gordon Low built is strong as we grow the next generation of leaders.

Stay connected with us through other e-communications and our social media.

And, we want to hear from you... What is your Girl Scout up to? Are you looking for something you can't find? We are here to help and definitely want to hear how we can enhance your experience! Your feedback is so valued - let us know!
