Have you ever thought you need a vacation from your vacation? That is exactly the kind of summer our Girl Scouts had because of your generous support!

Oh the places our Girl Scouts went! More than 6,000 girls spent quality skill-building time outdoors through day, resident, family and you & me camps. They rode a horse for the first time, set and made their goal on the climbing wall and built stronger friendships. You make all of these great outdoor experiences possible!

From a trip to summer camp to a trip to another country, our Girl Scouts traveled everywhere this summer. Girl Scout destinations are special trips organized by Girl Scouts of the USA. These trips offer once-in-a-lifetime experiences and our participating Girl Scouts can certainly attest to that.

Amanda J. learned about film production in Hollywood. Kate N. had big outdoor adventure on her Boundary Waters wilderness canoe trip. Anna V. explored Panama and Costa Rica and studied the habitats of sea turtles. Amanda M. blasted off with a trip to Space Camp cementing her desire to become an astronaut. It's all possible through Girl Scouts!

Girl Scouts Meet Navy's Top Nurse

We ended the summer with some super STEM excitement! Rear Admiral Rebecca McCormick-Boyle came to Kansas City for Navy Week and wanted to meet girls. Of course, Girl Scouts was her first choice. The Rear Admiral is one of the highest ranking females in the Navy and is the senior nurse as part of the Navy Medicine division.

What an incredible experience to hear the girls' questions and see them interact with such an awesome role model! Because of individuals like the Rear Admiral and donors like you, girls can aspire to do anything!!
