 Global Youth Service Day

Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) celebrates and mobilizes the millions of young people who improve their communities each day of the year through service. Established in 1988, Global Youth Service Day is the largest service event in the world, and the only day of service dedicated to children and youth.

We have partnered with Harvesters in Kansas City and Topeka to provide service opportunities for our Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors on April 18 to participate in this exciting event! Find out more about this opportunity and reserve your spot - space is limited!

 Starlight Theatre Volunteer Opportunity

Starlight Theatre is looking for Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts to help out at the pre-show family festival during their production of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella July 7 - 12. In past years, Girl Scouts have helped kids make multiple crafts, worked carnival game booths, helped with line management, monitored children on inflatables and assisted children with coloring activities. Girl Scouts need to be 14 years of age and older. Volunteer check-in is at 5:15 p.m. on show nights. Since Starlight is a 501 (c) (3) organization they can sign community service hours as well.

To sign up, Contact Staci Shute at 816-997-1137 or [email protected] or Kandi Gerdes at 816-997-1143 or [email protected].
