Welcome to Linger, the Teen Newsletter!

Welcome to the second issue of Linger, Girl Scouts of NE Kansas & NW Missouri's bi-monthly Teen Newsletter.

The name, Linger, was inspired by the traditional Girl Scout Camp song

 "Mmhmm, I want to linger.

Mmhmm, a little longer.

Mmhmm, a little longer,

Here with you."

As you grow through Girl Scouts, we want to keep you engaged with all the amazing things you get to do as Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors. Linger will keep you up to date about events, activities, travel, career exploration, leadership and service opportunities!

"Mmhmm, I will remember,

Mmhmm, our Scouting days,

of friendships true."

Scholarship:

Beth Winters Memorial Scholarship

Beth Winters, daughter of Joyce and George Termini and the late Charles Winters, exemplified the highest ideals of Girl Scouting as reflected in the Girl Scout Promise and Law. On August 26, 1995, Beth suffered an untimely death in a car accident at the age of 26.

As a young woman, Beth moved through life with grace, tenacity and a soaring spirit. The Beth Winters Scholarship Fund, endowed by Beth's family and friends, captures that spirit by annually recognizing an Ambassador Girl Scout of high ideals. Since March 1996, 16 such women have been so honored. Girl Scouts in
12th grade are encouraged to apply by February 1, 2015!
