It is my pleasure to announce that Girl Scouts of the USA has honored Paige Young of Olathe, Kansas, as a National Young Woman of Distinction, the highest honor in Girl Scouting.
Paige works on her project in Haiti
We are so proud that Paige is being recognized for her remarkable, global, sustainable Gold Award Take Action Project, "Hope for Haiti."
And you should be proud, too. Donors like you make it possible for Girl Scouts like Paige to develop courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place.
Whether they're planting trees or collecting food for their local food pantry, Girl Scouts are building a better world for all of us. We were so excited to see Paige and several other Gold Award Girl Scouts recognized this week in the KC Star, 816, 816 North and 913 regional sections.
We are grateful for people like you who realize that when you invest in Girl Scouts today, Girl Scouts will change the world tomorrow. Thank you!
I'm also pleased to announce that you're helping us exceed our goals for Daisy's Circle!
I want to thank the 41 generous volunteers who joined Daisy's Circle on Saturday, July 12 during the Service Team Kick-Off event. We now have 169 members of Daisy's Circle who give a total of $4,000 a month for girls!
We would not be able to provide quality experiences for girls without your support. For example, your generous contributions help provide STEM Programs like the Spark Event series, which required an investment of $15,000 this year.
Because of you, girls and volunteers have access to the best leadership experiences.
