| Cookie Season of Fun and Skill-Building! | |
We are proud to feature two fantastic Cookie Program Rallies, one for North Kansas City troops and one for troops in Junction City, Manhattan, Topeka and surrounding areas. A huge thank you to Amber Cannady and Kathryn Pierce for making these events possible!
Both events featured workshops helping girls practice their 5 skills from learning all about the cookies, practicing making the pitch to the customer, blinging out their booth, counting change and even learning a cookie cheer. It was all about FUN while skill-building. Around 300 girls attended each event!
We will be sending shop gift certificates to both Amber and Kathryn. We also want to give honorable mention to Junior Troop 41975 and Cadette Troop 7609 who led 57 Daisy and Brownie Girl Scouts from Baldwin City and Lawrence through Cookie Program Badge activities. Way to go, girls!
Send us your story - How does your troop celebrate World Thinking Day? Stories can be sent to prdept@gsksmo.org by January 31 for an opportunity to be featured in the February S'MORE and a $20 shop gift certificate.

You Make all the Difference!
| |
You made a big difference to Girl Scouts in 2013! Parents, Troop Leaders, and Volunteers like you gave more than $10,000 this past year to support girls in our Council.
Your contributions helped make it possible for girls to participate in STEM (science, technology, engineering, & math) experiences last year.
Thanks to you, Girl Scouts across our Council were able to take advantage of enriching programs in the arts, healthy living, financial literacy, service, and sports.
And your gift helped offer girls so much more...
This Council is your Council. We exist to serve you and your daughters - to provide the very best for girls. We know you will help us meet our goals in 2014!
Happy New Year, and thank you for all you do to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
