Dear Troop Leaders & Cookie Managers,
It's the 2nd weekend of order taking, and what a fantastic weekend it is! Lots of Girl Scouts are out and about running their cookie business, and you make that happen! Below are a few updates for your review:
Training Now Online!
Missed Training? Want to review at your own pace? The Troop Cookie Manager Training is now online! Click this link and look for "Cookie Training Events + Links." Then click on Troop Cookie Manager Training Presentation. You will need speakers or a headset and the ability to see PowerPoint on your computer.
Council Banking Materials
Thanks to everyone that notified your Service Unit Product Sales Manager (SU PSM) that council banking materials are needed. We're processing requests as quickly as we can. If you have not reached out and you need COUNCIL BANK DEPOSIT materials please email email@example.com with your name and troop number. Remember that these are needed so that you can deposit checks into the council account.
Reminder: Money is collected at the time of delivery when girls exchange product with the customer, not ahead of time.
It's Booth Lottery Sign Up Time for Troops in Metro KC
If you're interested in a booth at one of the locations in the booth lottery now is the time to sign up. You have until 11:59 PM Sunday, January 12 to enter up to three entries for a booth. Instructions are available on our website www.gsksmo.org/cookies under the volunteer tab. Look under "Downloads".
The booth lottery runs on January 13. If your email is updated in your troop info (see page 10 of your TCM Handbook) you'll receive an email from Snap notifying you of the outcome. Those who enter but are not chosen will be called the week of January 13. Please make sure you've included a daytime phone number in your troop information in Snap (again, see page 10 of your handbook).
It's possible your favorite location may not be part of the lottery. They may have told us no this year or they may have asked us to call them closer to March. We'll continue to load locations into Snap for booths over the next several weeks so check back in. Once the lottery process is completed we'll start opening up booths for first come, first serve additions. Watch your email for information.
If you have any questions on these topics or others, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for support at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for all you are doing to help girls learn their five business skills through the Cookie Program!
