Dear Friend of Girl Scouts,

Joy with Maggie and Sophie. Your gifts support the "secret sauce" of service.

I want to share a wonderful story about two honorable Brownies who have been helping others for half of their life. Now eight years old, Maggie and Sophie started baking cookies and collecting books when they were four. The girls were recently recognized for their work with the Presidential Call to Service Award, complete with a signed certificate from President Obama.

Their "secret sauce" for service is, "Do what you like to do and see how that helps every day. Just do one step at a time and the next thing you know, you're helping everywhere you go." No wonder their favorite part of being a Girl Scout is getting to help others! Their next project is creating meal sacks and personal care packs for shelters that help homeless woman and families in need.

I am so inspired by Maggie and Sophie's generous spirit of giving back to their community.  They are indeed girls with courage, confidence and character who are making the world a better place.

You are Giving the Gift of Girl Scouts

We are so grateful for you and for friends like the Louetta M. Cowden Foundation who recently gave $25,000 to support the Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts thank the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation for their support.

Outreach Program. Thanks to generous donors like you, all girls in our community can experience Girl Scouts.

During this season of giving I want you to know that your gifts are building girls of courage confidence and character who are making the world a better place.  Just like Sophie and Maggie and the 1,100 girls in our Outreach Program.

With your help, we can make sure even more girls get the chance to be a part of Girl Scouts. Will you give the gift of membership for girls who cannot afford Girl Scouts?  Your gift will support the Outreach Program which allows girls in underserved areas to experience Girl Scouts.

I am honored to be the CEO of an organization that empowers girls to be tomorrow's leaders. Thank you for all you do to support Girl Scouts.

Sincerely,

Joy Wheeler

CEO, Girl Scouts of NE Kansas & NW Missouri
