Please consider helping us call businesses to arrange cookie booth locations. You will be calling locations in the KC metro area (Johnson and Wyandotte counties in Kansas - Clay, Jackson and Platte counties in Missouri). We will provide you a list and give you lots of support as you contact the locations.

 New Online & Media Guidelines

We love promoting our fantastic council and amazing Girl Scouts! We have provided online guidelines as you develop your service unit and troop social network sites as well as added some new media guidelines when promoting your great work! We look forward to working with you!

Workshops for Cadette - Ambassador Girl Scouts

There are many ways people can change the world. UMKC's Civic Engagement Department is offering workshops for Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors that encourage girls to become active in their government and learn to use their voices to change their communities.

Cadettes can learn about group decision making and mediation. Seniors and Ambassadors can peek behind the ballot and start planning a campaign. All of the workshops tie to the Citizenship Badges and Journeys. Dates are planned throughout the year.

Visit our website for more information and available dates.

 You are Making an Impact!

We send a shout out to everyone who is registering girls AND making an on line gift.  What an impact you are making!  Nearly 300 gifts totaling almost $6,000 were contributed during registration.

This support from leaders like you helps pay for memberships for girls in the Outreach Program. Without your support the Outreach Program would not be able to offer Girl Scouts to girls in schools were nearly 90% of students receive free or reduced lunch.

Our goal this year is to raise 1.5 million dollars from private philanthropy to build girls of courage, confidence and character. Funding is needed to ensure we have quality STEM programming, fun outdoor experiences on one of our five Camp Properties, and Volunteer Training that teaches the best practices in working for girls.

We can reach this goal when we all work together. We invite you to call or email us if you have ideas on people, foundations and companies who want to help Girls. You can call Mary Pat Beals at 913.488.0200 or email [email protected]We want to hear your ideas and to learn your Girl Scout story. Girls deserve the best and you are making it possible!
