Want to Earn a $20 Gift Certificate?

We want the S'MORE to be a place of information and troop celebration! Every month we ask a question relating to a special time in the GS Year. We want to share your inspiring and innovative ideas with others.

All ideas are awesome, but we do select one troop to spotlight for the month and that leader receives a $20 gift certificate to the GSKSMO Shop.

Please take a moment to share how your troop has celebrated or plans to celebrate Juliette Gordon Low's birthday on October 31?

 National GS Recruitment Week

It's been quite an exciting week for Girl Scouts around the nation! We have had great press about Girl Scouts and the exciting "I Can't Wait To... Campaign".

The week started with Girl Scouts' Honorary National President First Lady Michelle Obama's volunteer recruitment video. Didn't have a chance to watch? Take a few moments now to see her message. More than 2.5 million people have watched this video and seen the national Facebook ads!

A great blog posted on Friday about why the world needs more Girl Scouts. Three reasons include the classic movie Troop Beverly Hills, country music icon Dolly Parton and Hollywood actor Ryan Gossling. Share them all with your friends, parents in your troop, girls and more!

Spark Events for Juniors and Up

Spark Events are starting at the end of October!  Help Girl Scouts understand the ins and outs of a STEM career by taking your girls to a Spark Event. These events are meant to bring STEM professionals together with Girl Scouts to help girls think about their future careers.

The first two dates, one at Triple I and one at the Google Fiberspace are open for registration by clicking here.

We will be adding more throughout the year, so please check out this page often to see what's new!

 Candy, Nuts & Magazine Program
Awesome job promoting the Candy, Nuts & Magazine Program! With girl order taking concluding on October 13, we have already surpassed last year's online magazine orders of $41,000! Great troop proceed opportunities and learning + recognitions for girls!! Thanks to our Troop PSMs and Leaders for facilitating!

A nice tote bag promotion on page 62 of the magazine catalog. The bag will go to the address of the magazine recipient, the online link does not show the bag - be sure to reference the item numbers and the bag is not available with any other combo offers. Check it out - might be a great gift item for someone special. We will have the tote bag promotion on Page 62 up on our website next week.

You can find the flyer and more under the Girl / Parent and Volunteer Resource sections. If we can help you as you wind down your troop's program, let us know by emailing
