April 8, 2016
Hello

I cannot get enough of this weather! Feeling very lucky to be a Satellite this time of year. If you're looking for an excuse to go on a stroll during lunch today walk to Milstead and Co. for "cash mob" sponsored by Tableau. Instead of singing and dancing we $pend money. Milstead has ordered exclusive swag for today, so come get it while its hot.

If you are free this weekend come to Moisture Festival which ends Sunday with its final show. Other fun happenings this weekend include the Edge of Glass Clarence Sale. This sale will take place Friday and Saturday with items up to 85% off. Come pick up some groovy art to decorate your home, studio, or office.

Starting May we have a new schedule set up for Tech Walks.  Tech Walks will now take place on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 11 am. We take up to 5 members at a time, so contact me or Trisha if you are interested in joining a Tech Walk. You may be asking yourself "what's a Tech Walk?". As a Fremont Chamber Member we take you to 10 different businesses along "silicon valley canal" where you get to prompt your business, events, promotions, etc. on company reader boards; just one of many great reasons to join the Fremont Chamber

This month already feels like its flyin'. Don't forget to register for our next programmed event Homeless, Housing, and Hazards Safety Meeting April 20th. Fremont is a safe community and to preserve Fremont's neighborhoods and businesses we need to work together to address common safety issues. Come learn about ways to keep our community safe while voicing your concerns.

Have a great weekend!

A break in a natural gas line prompted several evacuations in a Fremont neighborhood Wednesday morning.

Inspired and partly sponsored by Geocaching.com, which is based in Fremont, the free scavenger hunt features participants freely roaming the UW's Seattle, Bothell, and Tacoma campuses in search of answers to trivia questions about distinguished UW alumni.

Anyone is welcome to request membership in this exclusive organization so that they might enjoy the benefits thereof, but only a limited number of spots are available.

It's not every day that an event at a relatively new venue goes off without a hitch the way this one did, and it's clear that both fans and artists were taking notice.

For those used to Seattle's higher brow culinary scene, whose tastes go beyond ketchup and mustard, Seattle Chef Ethan Stowell has come up with a new roster of menu items, as he's done for the past six years.
