Hello  - 

You made it to Friday! Treat yourself tonight by heading over to Fremont Studios for the Scotch and Beer Fest. If you can't make it tonight or if you do make it and have so much fun you're ready for round two this event is happening Saturday as well. Tonight for Moisture Festival Hales Palladium will be hosting two showings of Comedy/Varieté, a 7:30p and a late night show at 10:30p. 

Tomorrow is a very important day for us Washingtonians because it's our Presidential Caucus Day. Please be sure to make it out to your caucus location and use your voice to help pick our next presidential candidate. Your voice does matter and every vote counts; do your part to create the change you wish to see in the world!

Chamber related events this week include our monthly meeting which will take place Wednesday at 8a in our newish office space above LTD Bar & Grill. Be sure to stop by to share your thoughts. Then on Thursday we are holding a Neighborhood Expo Social at The Ballroom. If you are register for a spot in the Expo this event is an opportunity for you to network before April 6, and it's totally free.

The tax deadline this year is April 18th
Since Friday, April 15th is Emancipation Day (a legal holiday), 2015 tax returns are due no later than Monday, April 18th. The SBA wanted to offer up nine of the most commonly seen errors on tax returns that you can avoid just by keeping a keen eye on the information as you enter it into your tax forms: 

          
  1. Wrong or missing social security numbers
          2. Wrong or misspelled names
          3. Filing status errors
          4. Math mistakes
          5. Errors in figuring tax credits or deductions
          6. Incorrect bank account numbers
          7. Forms not signed
          8. Electronic filing PIN errors

The Ship Canal Tunnel is expected to be dug under Fremont Place North, and the project team is taking soil samples to inform the design. They may drill up to 170 ft deep, taking core samples for 4-5 days from 9a-4p. The rig will be positioned in the westbound, curb lane of Fremont Pl N, just east of the intersection with Evanston Ave N & N 36th st. Fremont Pl N will still have two-way traffic, and the turn lane will be maintained onto Evanston. Team will stop work during commute hours
