Cinco de Mayo Activity 

            Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "fifth of May") is a celebration held on May 5. It is celebrated in the United States and in Mexico. It commemorates a moment in history when Mexico defeated the invading French army, then the strongest army in the world. Mexican Americans also often see the day as a source of pride; one way they can honor their ethnicity is to celebrate this day.

       Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us and pick up all your salsa garden supplies! Snack on some chips and salsa to set a festive mood. We will have salsa and edible container gardens ready to go. Learn how to grow your salsa and edible gardens in small spaces. Leave the mess here and let us help you plant up your own edible container at our potting station. Sample grilled vegetables and grab some lunch at our outdoor kitchen!

Make-N-Take Salsa Garden Workshop

       Join us and create your own salsa container garden in honor of Cinco de Mayo! Get planting and care tips to help with the success of your new garden. Have fresh tomatoes, peppers and herbs right outside your door! ($25.00 Supply fee). Please call to RSVP at 636-239-6729.
