Time for FUN FACTS!!

The garden fish pond at Hillermann Nursery and Florist with snow

The world's biggest snowflake fell on January 28, 1887, in Ft. Keogh, Montana. It was 15 inches across and 8 inches thick!

The record for the most snow fall in a 24 hour period in the United States happened in Silver Lake, Colorado in 1921. During that 24 hour period, six feet and four inches of snow fell--which is the height of a very tall man!

The highest snowfall ever recorded in a one year period was 31.1 meters (1224 inches, or 102 feet) in Mount Rainier, Washington State, United States, between February 19, 1971 and February 18, 1972.

Until next time!
