Dear Friends, I hope you all had a fabulous Fourth of July weekend with family and friends. The weather was just beautiful - leaving almost no excuse not to BBQ! I was able to spend time with my little family and we had fun playing outside! Color still abounds and the sales continue here with annual and tropical color plants and more! Check out the specials below. Keep the water flowing on new and old plants alike, the article below on saving water will give you great suggestions on the best methods. Maybe I will see you at our last wine class... the bottling stage!!!!! My favorite step.

Save Water, Save Money, Save Energy
July is Smart Irrigation Month. In honor of this effort, we want to offer easy tips to conserve water when using irrigation and more. Read about Smart Irrigation Month at http://www.smartirrigationmonth.org/.
The United States uses the equivalent of 360 billion kilowatt hours per year--9% of the nation's total electricity use--to pump, heat and treat water. This is 33% more than is generated by all of the nation's hydroelectric dams in an average year and equal to the output of over 100 typical coal fired power plants! Following are some tips to help reduce the amount of water waste around your home.
1. More plants die from over-watering than from under-watering. Only water plants when it is necessary.
2. Use sprinklers that throw big drops of water close to the ground. Smaller drops of water and mist can drift onto non-target areas, or evaporate before they hit the ground.

Featured Adoptable Pet
Hello, my name is Frolic. I am a very cute little 3 month old orange and white tabby boy. As my name implies, I love to have fun and frolic all about the place! I am here with many, many other cute kittens, but none of them are as cute as I am. I would love it if you could come to see me and then we could begin a life of fun, laughter and frolicking!
