Dear Friends,
 Winter Garden Damage
We've been getting a lot of questions the last few weeks about what all this cold is going to mean for the trees, shrubs, and other plants in our gardens. If you have hardy and healthy trees and shrubs, they may be just fine. This assumes you didn't have ice, snowplow, or wildlife damage. If you have marginally hardy plants, or plants in poor health, they may not make it through the very cold winter we had. Broken branches can be pruned off, but the only thing to do for them otherwise is to let them come back on their own. Established perennials should be just fine, just let them come back naturally and resist the urge to help them along. We are about three weeks behind last year, so give Mother Nature time to do her thing and wake plants up! We are here to help if you have questions or need replacements. Sandi |
