Results from Stuff the Bus

Thanks to all of our generous donors and volunteers, hundreds of children on the Central Coast were prepared to go back to school. From August 17-21st, we collected over $30,000 in school supplies! That includes more than 900 boxes of crayons, 1,300 spiral notebooks, and 12,000 pencils. Thank you to the 80 volunteers that helped us collect the supplies at our 4 locations, Walmart, Walgreens, and Target. Special thanks to our major sponsors, KSBYPG&E and Zurn.
Meet our Newest Youth Board President!

School is back in session, which means so is our Youth Board! This year's Youth Board President is AnnaSara Bridgeford, a senior at San Luis Obispo High School. AnnaSara joined the board when she was a Freshman and has been a member throughout her high school career. Her older brother JohnAugust was our first ever Youth Board President 8 years ago, and the positive experience he had inspired AnnaSara to join. She has said that she loves the opportunities the board has granted her, such as awarding grants to worthy causes at the end of the year and getting to hear from experienced guest speakers. When asked what her favorite thing about being apart of the board is, she answered "they have helped me realize that even though I am young my ideas and opinions have value and the power to create the change I want to see in my community". We want to wish AnnaSara good luck as this year's President - we know she will do great! To learn more about the Youth Board and AnnaSara check out our blog article.
