Be a hero to a child in need!
Volunteer or Donate to Kidspree and Stuff the Bus
Kidspree: Our 19th Annual Kidspree is on Sunday, August 2.
Volunteers will help deserving kids shop for much needed back-to-school clothing at Kohl's in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles. Last year we provided shopping adventures to 250 local students! Donate and help us beat that number. Each child receives a $100 gift card and shops with a caring adult volunteer. We also need help with event set up, check in, and shopping with children. Bilingual and/or male shoppers are always in demand! Fingerprinting is required for all volunteer shoppers at least two weeks before the event and is free thanks to the SLO County YMCA. Visit our website for more information, to donate or to submit the volunteer interest form. Stuff the Bus: Your business is invited to participate in United Way of San Luis Obispo County's Stuff the Bus! Stuff the Bus is an annual donation drive for new school supplies, which are distributed throughout San Luis Obispo County schools. Our 7th annual event will take place Monday, August 17th-21st at Target, Walgreens, and Walmart locations in San Luis Obispo County. We encourage all local businesses, big and small, to get involved by setting up a drop-off location for supplies in a visible location from August 3rd-17th. Then spread the word to employees and customers about donating supplies. On August 17, bring your collection to any one of our drop-off locations. Together as a community, we can help out hundreds of local children in need! For more information on how your business can get involved contact Leslie at (805)541-1234. |
