We Love 2-1-1!

On February 11th (2/11/15), communities around the United States celebrate National 2-1-1 Day.
2-1-1 is the free information and referral phone number that connects the community to our local health and human services. If you need help, dial 2-1-1 to speak with a caring call specialist, or visit www.211slo.org to search the public database on your own.

Help us spread the word! Share one of these posts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

211 is a free 24/7 phone number that will help you connect to local services. #dial211

Need help, but don't know where to start? #dial211 for free, confidential information and referrals 24/7. www.211slo.org

Save On Your Prescription Costs

pills2.jpg Did you know? Prescription drug discount cards save SLO County millions of dollars in medicine costs. Coast2Coast RX and Family Wize cards have saved our community over $6,775,000 on prescription costs, an average of 63% per prescription.

United Way distributes these cards anyone who does not have health insurance or needs medication not covered by their insurance. These cards, which can be used for all FDA approved brand and generic prescription medications, don't require activation or paperwork. Download and print your cards today to start saving. (Call (805) 541-1234 to be provided with a card if you don't have access to a printer.)

Opportunity Exchange

Back by popular demand! The Opportunity Exchange is a listing of in-kind donation needs from nonprofit agencies, and items available for donation. The list, which will be updated biweekly, will be used to connect local businesses with items available, such as furniture or office equipment, with specific nonprofit needs.

Use this form on our website to enter your need or available item. Once the list is compiled, it will be available here
