Workplace Giving Recognized
On September 16th, the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors recognized the United Way Workplace Giving program. Since 1958, SLO County employees have made our community stronger by supporting United Way through workplace giving, and in the last decade, County employees have donated almost $700,000. The Supervisors realize by investing in our local community we can influence the condition of all.

Get Smart About Credit Month
October is "Get Smart About Credit Month", promoting the importance of using credit wisely to youth - a concept that our Money Talks for Teens volunteers focus on. Money Talks is a money management curriculum for high school students, taught by local professionals. As we launch our fifth year, we are recruiting volunteers to expand to more schools. Volunteers shadow the classes for a session, then commit to teaching one class a week for five weeks. To volunteer, call (805) 541-1234.
