Volunteer for KidSpree and Stuff the Bus
You can be the hero to a child in need! Volunteer or donate to KidSpree and Stuff the Bus. 
 KidSpree: Our 18th Annual Kidspree is on Sunday, July 27th. Volunteers will help deserving kids shop for much needed back-to-school clothing at Kohl's in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles. Donate and help us reach our goal of providing 250 shopping adventures for local students. Each child receives a $100 gift card and shops with a caring adult volunteer. We also need help with event set up, check in, and shopping with children. Bilingual and/or male shoppers are always in demand! Fingerprinting is required for all volunteer shoppers at least two weeks before the event and is free thanks to the SLO County YMCA. Stuff the Bus: From August 11-15, we need your help to literally Stuff the Bus with school supplies at Target, Walgreens and WalMart locations in SLO County! Look for the bus at one of our collection sites to donate, or sign up to collect and organize donations. Volunteers help collect and sort the supplies at each bus during the week, from 4:00-7:00 PM. All SLO County businesses are once again invited to participate in our Stuff the Bus collection contest. More details to come in our July eNewsletter, or contact Leslie for more information.

The United Way You th Board is now accepting applications for the 2014-2015 Board. Thirty-five students serve as a United Way Board of Directors and are given the opportunity to make a direct impact on their peers by addressing the needs of their community. United Way Day at SLO Blues Baseball

 Saturday, July 5th is United Way day at Blues Baseball! Come on out to the ballgame and wear your LIVE UNITED shirt to support United Way of San Luis Obispo County. The Blues play at Sinsheimer Stadium, located at 990 Southwood Drive in San Luis Obispo.

 After careful consideration, United Way of San Luis Obispo County has selected 17 nonprofit programs to receive 2014-2015 Community Impact Fund grants. More than 30 community volunteers reviewed applications through a rigorous process based on specific criteria ensuring agency's capacity for delivering program outcomes.
