SJCC Board Meeting May 20,2015
The SJCC board meetings are every 4th Wednesday of the month at 5pm, however, we will have our meeting in May on May 20th and it will include our fundraiser follow up. |

Giving Earth Day some Attention Shred and Recycle Saturday
Wednesday was the official Earth Day, but not a great time of week to gather up your hard-to-get-rid-of stuff - to get rid of. The city is offering document shredding and e-waste collection Saturday, April 25th at R. B. Hunt Elementary School from 9 am to 1 pm. Shredding is offered for residents for up to five file boxes of documents for on-site, secure destruction and recycling. The e-waste collection service is growing in popularity for obsolete electronic devices. |

Aaron Siskind Foundation Invites Applications for 2015 Indiviual Photographer's Fellowships (Deadline: May 29)
The Aaron Siskind Foundation is accepting applications for the 2015 Individual Photographer's Fellowships. A limited number of fellowship grants of up to $10,000 each will be awarded to artists working in photography and photo-based art. Qualified applicants must provide a portfolio of still photography of any subject matter, genre, or process. For more info, visit here .

The Hardee Center for the Arts in Madison, Florida is calling for entries for the 2015/16 exhibition season. They are welcoming submissions of all 2D and small 3D works. Art in Odd Places (AiOP) Orlando invites proposals for the Orlando AiOP, a visual and performance public art festival to take place on September 17-20 in downtown Orlando, Florida. Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation Accepting Applications for Observers Program (Deadline: May 15)

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation is accepting applications from emerging directors and choreographers to observe the work of master directors and choreographers as they create productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and at leading regional theaters across the country. Each observer receives a weekly stipend of at least $225 as well as a project travel stipend. For more info, visit here.

Harpo Foundation Seeks Applications for New Work Grants (Deadline: April 29)
The Harpo Foundation is inviting Letters of Inquiry for its 2015 New Work Project Grants program. Through the annual program, grants of up to $10,000 are awarded to nonprofit organizations in support of new work by under-recognized artists age 21 or older. The foundation considers proposals that directly support the production of new work by visual artists and/or collaborative teams. For more info, visit here.

ROMANZA OFFERS HIGH SCHOOL APPLICANTS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR PERFORMING ARTS
Deadline: May 1, 2015
Romanza's 2015 Scholarships will be awarded to two graduating seniors enrolled at St. Augustine High School or the St. Johns County Center of the Arts who plan to major in performing arts at the college level. Two $500 scholarships will be awarded this year, and students should contact their Counselor if they are interested in obtaining an Application.

Nicholas Simmons Three Day Workshop in Watercolor and Acrylics (May 1)
Sponsored by the Tallahassee Watercolor Society in conjunction with the 27th Annual Tri-State Juried Water Media Exhibition, renowned artist Nicholas Simmons will be hosting a three day workshop in watercolor and acrylics on May 1. The cost is $350 for TWS members and $380 for non-members. The workshop will be held at Workforce Bldg., Campus of Tallahassee Community College. The St Johns Cultural Council uses that money to fund
