President's Message

Raising Asbestos Awareness

Today marks the first day of Global Asbestos Awareness Week (GAAW). The U.S. Senate unanimously passed the 12th National Asbestos Awareness Resolution, and ADAO's efforts to educate the public are already underway. Countless blogs and commentaries have been shared online, and thanks to The McOnie Agency, over forty countries received the GAAW press release!

There is still more in store. On the ADAO website, we will feature educational resources, guest blogs, videos, and asbestos victims' stories. We need your help to make this week a success. Check out our schedule below and see how you can increase awareness about asbestos.

Building on the momentum from GAAW, the 12th Annual International Asbestos Awareness and Prevention Conference, "Where Knowledge & Action Unite," will kick off on April 8th 2016. This conference will be our best yet, with new information, influential speakers, amazing honorees, and our vibrant community all coming together. Check out ADAO's "Meet the Speakers and Honorees" blog series to learn more. Additionally, we are very proud to publish our 124 page ADAO conference program today.

Check out the Livestream video platform now and get ready to join the conversation when we go live on April 9th and 10th!

We'd like to thank this year's donors, supporters and sponsors, especially our Platinum Sponsors Motley Rice LLC; Delaware Insulation Asbestos Disease Trust; and Simmons Hanly Conroy, LLC; Gold Sponsor: Simon Greenstone Panatier Bartlett; and Silver Sponsor: Early, Lucarelli, Sweeney and Meisenkothen.

I'm looking forward to seeing many of you in April in D.C.
