ACTION ALERT!!
Green Chalice Survey
|
Dear Disciples,
To better understand awareness, attitudes, and behaviors on climate and sustainability among all Disciples, Green Chalice (greenchalice.org) and Blessed Tomorrow (blessedtomorrow.org) are conducting a survey. Your help is needed to help us get a pulse on how Disciples feel and think about climate change.
We want to make sure that your perspective is included in the results on this Common Metrics study. It will take only about 15 minutes of your time. Since there is no way to save your answers, the survey must be completed in one sitting. Your individual answers are completely confidential.
The collected answers of all participants will be analyzed by Lake Research Partners. The deadline for submission of your survey will be Friday, September 16, 2016. I do hope you will participate in this important study. Please share this survey with other members of your family and/or congregation so that we can get a comprehensive sampling from Disciples of Christ.
Should you encounter any problems or questions while taking the survey, please contact Jonathan Voss, an administrator of the survey, at: jvoss@lakeresearch.com
For nearly a decade now, Disciples Home Missions and the Kentucky Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) have been involved in a partnership to connect Christian faith, spiritual practice, and creation consciousness thereby demonstrating the fullness of God's shalom. We invite you to talk, teach, and preach about climate change as a moral issue; to join the growing movement of faithful youth and young adult collaborators on climate; get energy audits and energy upgrades for your church and/or places of residence; learn about your political candidates' creation care views; explore ways to creatively disrupt the systems of injustice and consumption at their roots; and, build relationships by joining a faith community that prioritizes compassion for the vulnerable and care for creation.
Our fragmented world becomes more whole because people of faith, like you, care!
Respectfully yours, Ronald J. Degges, PresidentDisciples Home Missions |
