President's Message
Dear Friends,
Summer has officially started! Our best wishes for a safe and fun summer. But before you leave for your vacation, be sure and mark your calendar for our annual social meeting on August 15. It is a time for us to hang out and enjoy each other company. It's an "unmeeting"! No formal agenda and no expectations other than just catching up with old and new friends. Be sure to check out our new website after the conversion later this month. Take care and I am looking forward to seeing you in August.
Warm Regards,
Clare Sautter, ACC
President, ICF Philadelphia

Attention Members:
Take action to prepare for our new ICFP Website coming July 15 (approximately)!
| |
By Suzanne M Perry, MSOD, VP, Communications

Attention ICFP Members:
Additional user testing and fine-tuning gives you, our members, additional time to prepare for our transition to our new website. On our about July 15th our current website will go down forever. Because of the difficulty and expense involved in converting our coach profile database to the new website, we opted to start over with an exciting new way for you to be found on the internet. In our new site, you will have the opportunity to include more about yourself, including uploading a photo and your experience as a coach, speaker and workshop leaders. To get ready to create your new profile in our new website, please take a few minutes to copy your current profile from our current website. ( www.philadelphiacoaches.org) Save it as a word doc so you can easily copy and paste it into our new coach directory.
After July 15, log-in to our new website and create your coach/speaker/workshop leader profile in our beautiful new website.
After our new site goes live, profiles in the old "Hire a Coach" directory will no longer be accessible. The conversion is coming soon -- so don't delay!
Please join me in recognizing the hard working ICFP New Website Team: Blythe Hoyle, Laurie Gripshover-Taylor, Linda O'Neill, and yours truly!
If you have any questions about making a copy of your profile, feel free to email or call me or any member of the team. Many thanks for your attention to this matter! Suzanne M. Perry, MSOD, VP, Communications communications@philadelphiacoaches.org

It's Rich. It's Rewarding. It's poweful!
|
By Terri O'Donnell, ACC, CPCC, VP, Membership
It's r ich. It's rewarding. It's powerful.
Imagine working on a specific area of focus in your business with 7 other coaches. Suppose each coach had a different area of expertise and focus, as well as experience. Envision each coaches business niche is different too. Yet, each coach provides a rich, powerful opportunity to see things from a different perspective? How compelling would that working opportunity be?
That was my personal experience at our monthly dinner meeting in June, with presenter Marjorie Brody. WOW! There we were, gathered around our dinner table, all united, yet separate, to create our own conversational, who and what we do statements. Aka: The Elevator Speech.
This is just one example the power our membership to ICF Philadelphia offers us, both individually and collectively. Yes, you may have participated in this event (and even sat at my table, you know who you are), and know what I'm talking about. Or, sadly perhaps, you missed this opportunity. It was a powerful evening. It's this type of unexpected pleasure, learning, and richness, that deepens our choice to join this professional organization. It is the people around the table that reinforce why each of us became or may be thinking about becoming a coach. It's the very reason we become a member of ICF Philadelphia.

Join the ICFP Social Media Squad!
|
By Laurie Taylor, ACC - VP Marketing
W ant to be more SOCIAL this summer? Join the ICFP Social Media Squad!
As the summer is heating up, what a great time to dip your toe into the social media pool and join the Social Media Squad! What IS the Social Media Squad? Well, here at ICF Philadelphia, we are forming a group of members interested in learning more about the different social media channels and building a team to share in tweeting and posting on behalf of our organization. We'll rotate things around so that each member will be able to participate based on their interest and availability.
What are the qualifications? Interest, willingness to learn and share, and access to the internet. That's it! Only have a few hours? No problem. Have lots of time available? That's okay too. If you're interested, I want to hear from YOU!
If you've been putting off getting more involved on social media for your own business, this is a great, low-pressure way to learn and contribute at the same time. The time commitment will be minimal and we'll all work on our own schedule.
Join me! It's going to be fun and who knows-you may even decide to use some of what you learn for your OWN social media campaigns.
If you would like to know more about the Social Media Squad, please email Laurie Taylor: Laurie@ResourcefulCoach.com
