| |
Wednesday, March 16, 4 p.m.
We are looking for interested members to join a new task force. As we are all aware, the world in which we currently live is no longer a world that allows us the luxury of denial to events that affect us globally. Together the Task Force will prioritize the needs of TST and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees to enhance our security so that we all feel safe in our temple home.
Our first meeting is at TST on Wednesday, March 16 at 4 p.m. If you can attend or if you are unable to attend this meeting, and would like to join the task force, please email Susan Altman, saltman@shirtikva.org.

Join us for Simchat Shabbat followed by Shabbat dinner as we learn from Professor Andrea Berlin.
In this lecture, Professor Andrea Berlin will present the results of recent excavations at Tel Kedesh, the site of an imperial administrative complex in northern Israel. The discoveries here call into question the veracity of certain portions of the text of 1 Maccabees, and so offer direct testimony for a reconsideration of the relationship between the history of these events and their retelling in story.
