Grade 3 Siyyum HaSefer
March 12, 10:45 a.m.
We are very proud of our Grade 3 students! They have been hard at work learning to decode Hebrew and are steadily gaining an understanding of basic Hebrew prayers. Through their participation in weekly tefillah (community prayer), our Grade 3 students now have an understanding of what it means to be a contributing member of a kehillah (a holy community).

Siyyum HaSefer is a ceremony conducted during the Shabbat morning service to publicly acknowledge and celebrate each student's hard work in their Jewish studies. All congregants are invited. This milestone service will be followed at 12:30 p.m. by Shabbat B'Yachad, Temple Shir Tikva's inter-generational and interactive Shabbat program.

TST Safety and Security Task Force
Wednesday, March 16, 4 p.m.

We are looking for interested members to join a new task force.  As we are all aware, the world in which we currently live is no longer a world that allows us the luxury of denial to events that affect us globally. Together the Task Force will prioritize the needs of TST and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees to enhance our security so that we all feel safe in our temple home.

Our first meeting is at TST on Wednesday, March 16 at 4 p.m. If you can attend or if you are unable to attend this meeting, and would like to join the task force, please email Susan Altman, saltman@shirtikva.org.
