Annual Meeting

The Temple Shir Tikva Annual Meeting is being held on Monday, June 1 at 7:30 p.m.

Family Promise at TST

Family Promise Hosting May 31- June 7

 

Temple Shir Tikva is hosting families in need for the third time for Family Promise, an interfaith community response to homelessness. Thank you to the over 50 volunteers who are coming together to make this week's hosting possible.

Simchat Shabbat and BBQ

June 19. July 24 and August 28  

 

 

Join us for this new monthly summer tradition at TST

 

Save the dates for our beautiful Simchat Shabbat services and stay for a casual BBQ dinner in our courtyard.

 

Kosher hamburgers and hot dogs and veggie burgers, along with pareve and gluten free buns will be provided. Participants are asked to bring a non-dairy side dish, non-dairy dessert or soft drink to share. BYO beer and wine.

 

Imagine welcoming Shabbat together then sharing a meal. The kids can run around, play ball or toss a Frisbee while adults hang out together under the setting sun.

Simchat Shabbat, Friday, 6:15 p.m.

Early Shacharit, followed by Torah study, Sat. 8:30 a.m.

Late Shacharit, Saturday, 10:45 a.m. - 1 p.m.
 
Shabbat Yeladim (Tot Shabbat) - 1st  Saturday of each month, 9:30 a.m.

 

Shabbat Mishpacha (Family Shabbat) - 3rd Saturday of each month, 9:00 a.m.

Do you know there are specific things you can do to care for our Torah scrolls?

 

We are fortunate to have Rabbi Druin, a sofer from Sofer-on-Site to cover these and other questions regarding caring for our Torah scrolls.

 

Please come to listen to fascinating stories about up-keeping, fixing, and avoiding costly repairs of Torah scrolls.

Notecards for Sale
This spring, TST students in Kindergarten and Grade 3 explored in depth the question "How does what I do make a difference?" seeking wisdom from
middot (Jewish values).

Notecards of their work are available for sale in the TST office.
$15 for a pack $25 for two packs*

 

*Each pack contains 10 unique note cards with blank insides

JCC Day at Grossman Camp

JCC Day at Grossman

 

Come visit JCC Grossman Camp and experience the magic of camp with your family! Enjoy a range of activities including: waterfront (beach, swimming, boating, water trampoline, water slide, fishing and more), sports (gaga, basketball, and street hockey), arts and crafts, rock climbing wall, zip line and more.

 

Located on Dover Road in Westwood (GPS address: 294 Powissett Street, Dover). Everyone welcome. Rain date is August 9. No charge.  Check bostonjcc.org/grossmanjccday2015 after 11 a.m. on the day of the event for an update.

 

JCC Grossman Camp is a day camp for boys and girls ages 4.5-15 located on Hale Reservation in Westwood. Bus transportation available from more than 38 communities throughout Greater Boston. Varied activities give Grossman campers lots of opportunities to explore nature, develop new skills and interests in a fun, positive and active environment. Supportive, experienced counselors and staff help them to develop the confidence to tackle these activities in a Jewish camping environment.
