High Holy Days 5775

Shir Tikva's critical planning for this year's High Holy Days, which begin with Selichot on September 20, closely followed by Rosh HaShanah on September 24, is well underway.

The initial congregational mailing for the Holy Days will be sent on Friday, August 15 and all requests for extra tickets, registration for our Children's Programming, "Scroll of Remembrance" memorial listings and similar items will be due back to the Temple office no later than Thursday, September 4.

We know these dates occur while most of our community is wrapping up summer mode and getting in the swing of back-to-school and our regular routines, but we ask that you please be on the lookout for this very important communication and respond to it as soon as you receive it, so that we can all be prepared for these important and significant days in our Jewish year.

Simchat Shabbat and BBQ

August 22, 6:15 pm - 9 p.m.

Come for our beautiful Simchat Shabbat service and stay for a casual BBQ dinner in our courtyard.  Kosher hamburgers, kosher hot dogs and veggie burgers, along with pareve and gluten free buns will be provided. Participants are asked to bring a non-dairy side dish, non-dairy dessert or soft drink to share. BYO beer and wine.

Imagine welcoming Shabbat together then sharing a meal. The kids can then run around, play ball or toss a Frisbee while the adults hang out together under the setting sun.

Join us for this new monthly summer tradition at TST!

Please RSVP by Tuesday, August 12 to Toni Spitzer at tspitzer@shirtikva.org.

We really need people to RSVP so that we can plan for the right amount of food.  After we receive your reply, you'll get an email with a link to sign-up to bring a dish and/or drinks.
