Sustainability Report - Now Available
The world's population is predicted to reach nine billion by the year 2050. These numbers pose the most pressing sustainability challenge facing the world today. How will the planet sustainably feed this number of people with its dwindling resource of arable land?

Agrium is actively engaged, every day, in helping meet this challenge. Agrium produces, markets, and distributes our agricultural products an d services thoughtfully and responsibly, with the goal of enabling growers around the world to sustainably intensify the productivity of their land.

Millennium Villages Project - Mayange
Meet  Absalom, a traditional farmer from Mayange, Rwanda. Prior to 2009, Absalom had no formal training in farming practices. The Millennium Villages Project, with support from Agrium came to his community and provided that educational support along with a supply of quality fertilizer. Absalom now benefits from greater harvest and crop yields. It has made a significant improvement to the standard of living for his family. Teaching Youth about Farm Safety
Since 2002, Agrium's partnership with the Progressive Agriculture Foundation helps teach youth about farm safety. Each year across the U.S. and Canada, more than 400 Safety Days reach about 80,000 youth and 20,000 volunteers, teaching the them   how to be safe and healthy everyday on farms and in rural communities. Progressive Agriculture Foundation is a non-profit organization, providing resources and training for communities to conduct their own one-day Progressive Agriculture Safety DayŽ programs.
