DIY: Pumpkin Scrub

Dear Library Member,

I'm very pleased to announce the Library's newest effort to provide services to the community -- our Outreach Van! Designed to also serve as a mobile billboard for our many resources, the van will make book deliveries to various locations around town, beginning with pre-schools and senior living facilities. We're very excited about starting our routes and bringing a part of the Library to patrons throughout the community. Look for us soon traveling around town!

As usual, we have a wide range of valuable programs planned for the week. There will be a "Personal Reinvention Workshop" on Wed. Sept. 21 from 7-8:30 pm. Led by Edil Solis, Director of Solis Consulting Group, the session will encourage personal reinvention for bringing new purpose and fulfillment in life. The workshop will teach the importance of skills such as goal setting, organization, proper time management, and self-improvement to allow for development of multiple strategies to adopt positive thinking and optimism.

To mark the first day of autumn, we'll be hosting a DIY program - make your own pumpkin spice body scrub on Thurs. Sept. 22 at 7 pm. This program is open to kids in grades 6-12.  Register here.

Old Bridge Day is right around the corner --
Sat. Sept. 24 from noon to 5 pm. Please be sure to visit our booth, see our new van and enjoy the following:

 * Outdoor storytime @2pm
 * Spinning the prize wheel for great prizes
 * 3D printer and vinyl cutter demonstrations
 * First 50 people to sign up for a Library card
   receive a 4GB flash drive with the Library's logo.

Interested in preserving your family history? On Sun. Sept. 25 at 1:30 pm, Gary Gellman, founder of Freehold-based Gellman Images, will present a program on "Creating A Family History Video." The session will discuss how to gather family information, who to interview, how to record individuals and what editing equipment is needed. Gellman will provide guidance about the creation process and how to collect necessary materials, from old family movies to newspaper articles.

Have a spectacular week.  See you in the Library!

Regards,
Nancy Cohen, Library Director
