Dear Library Member,
Right now there is a national emergency blood shortage that has impacted numerous blood centers around the country. Donors are needed immediately so that the blood supply can be brought back to a safe level. Help make sure that situations can be avoided where someone in need of blood cannot receive the blood he/she needs as a result of this shortage. Please give blood at the Library's Blood Drive on Wednesday from noon to 6 pm. Click here for more information.
Back by popular demand, just in time for school, is our Study Tools class. Discover online tools and technology that can help you organize your work, take better notes, stop procrastinating, and be a better student. This class is geared to high school and older students. Monday at 4 pm. No registration required.
In our continuing Adult Craft series, we will be making tissue paper trees this Friday at 10:30 am. A recent study in the journal Neurology suggests that older adults who do creative activities like arts and crafts could delay the development of memory problems in old age. The Library will supply all of the materials to keep your creative juices flowing while you socialize with others!
Not able to come to the Library to take a computer/technology class? No problem! You can take one from home or any other location with internet access, a device and your Library card number! Just click on Online Classes on our website for Universal Class, GCF Learning and the Computer Skills Center. All these resources are free. You must register with your Library card number with Universal Class. Take Microsoft Office classes, WordPress, social media classes, Photoshop and classes teaching you how to use cloud-based resources like Google Drive. Learn Linux and Mac operating systems. You'll be a pro in no time. Questions? Please ask one of our savvy librarians at 732-721-5600 x5033.
Have a spectacular week. See you in the Library!
