Dear Library Member,

We are thrilled to announce that the Old Bridge Public Library will be installing beautiful new chairs on July 18. This is another step in our efforts to enhance the Library experience for all members of the community.  Work is also continuing on the installation of the generator to power the Library during power outages.  It is anticipated to be completed before summer's end.  There may be a partial day closure of the Library on Monday, July 18 due to the work being done on the generator.  We will keep you informed via our website and Facebook page if any closure is necessary.

Keep your mind sharp and your memory stimulated with Brain Games for Seniors on Monday at 10:30 am!  Entertain and challenge yourself for hours with a variety of high tech and "lo-tech" games, trivia questions, mental exercises, and much more.  Just drop in!

Maker Mondays in July celebrate Harry Potter's birthday as well as his new book coming out at the end of the month.  Even if you're not familiar with the HP series, you will still love all the fun we have in store for you!   We'll be making wizard hats, wands and owls!
Ages 3-8 on July 11 at 7 pm.  Ages 9-12 on July 18 and teens on July 25.  Kids under 5 must be accompanied by a parent.

On Thursday at 7 pm, we will be conducting our first ever Boat Building Challenge!  See if you can make the coolest boat with simple materials we provide! Test it out to see if it floats! Grades 4-6. No registration necessary.

Soldering is a process in which two or more items (usually metal) are joined together by melting and inserting a filler metal into the joint.  Soldering is one of the most fundamental skills needed in the world of electronics.  In this hands-on Soldering Class you will learn how to solder by making a blinking badge you can take home with you!  This class is for adults, teens and kids ages 10 and up.  Registration is required.

Make your own jump ropes out of plastic bags and have fun with other jump rope activities at Jump Rope Mania on Saturday at 2:30 pm!  You'll have fun and get good exercise at the same time.  For kids in grades 2 & up.  Just drop in!

Have a spectacular week.  See you in the Library!

Regards,
Nancy Cohen, Library Director
