Dear Library Member,

Summer has finally arrived and the Library's summer reading program, "On Your Mark, Get Set...Read" is off to a running start! Over 1,200 people visited the Library last Saturday for the program's kick-off, and enjoyed a packed-performance by the always-engaging Rock n Roll Mother Goose, crafts, activities and free ice cream from Friendly's. Check out our website here for more information and program details.

The internet has quickly become an integral part of our lives, with abundant facts, news and information at our fingertips. It's become very easy to get overwhelmed and overloaded. On Wed. June 29th at 7pm, the Library will offer a valuable program entitled, "How to Stay Informed Online." Come learn some tips and tricks to stay on top of too much information.

School's out and we'll be offering plenty of great programming to appeal to kids of all ages. On Thurs. June 30, our Teen/Tween Gaming Club will meet from 7-8pm. This gives kids an opportunity to play games together in the library. They can bring in their handheld games to interact with others, or bring in their collectible card games to battle or trade. This is a great way to make new friends and discover a new game each month!

Calling all Harry Potter fans! The Library will offer two great events this week to celebrate Harry's birthday month. First, on Fri. July 1st at 7pm, kids can have a magical time at the library as we celebrate all things Harry Potter as part of our Tweens Night Out program. Kids in grades 4-6 can come enjoy trivia, games, crafts and snacks. Then, on Sat. July 2nd, from 2:30-4pm, kids are invited to play a game of Quidditch (modified for Muggles, unfortunately) with refreshments sponsored by Panera Bread! This event is open to kids in grades 6-12; click here to register.
